Passion becomes...

purpose when it redeems your pain.

morning notes...

concentrate on the present moment
this is where you are meant to live

fear only has the power you give it
hope works the same way

fear is usually a story you tell yourself
you can tell yourself a story of hope instead

Timothy 3:2-5
humbling verse

stand apart while everyone else
is trying to stand out

don't rely on your own understanding

God is always available to you to
strengthen, deliver, pardon, encourage,
guide, rescue, & bless you.
Stop pushing Him away.

be well...

"You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert,
repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about your despair, yours,
and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean
blue air, are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese,
harsh and exciting-
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things."

Synchronicity of Things...

Going back to a call made to schedule an appointment,
 which somehow led to
chatting about the year of the snake,
and the shedding of old skin.

Followed by subtle signs & a strong nudge.
 The green light.
Cueing me that it's time to begin.

Resistance.
I set & circle a date, and decide to go with the flow.
My head is ready, but my heart whispers "slow".

My neighbor visits & hands me
a package, unexpectedly sitting at my door.
A note from home & a thoughtful gift.
Some tears, a call, and much, much more...
the timing was perfect,
I felt the tug at my core.

Fear, doubt and uncertainty come near,
the circled date also, a birthday of someone dear.
Listening to a talk-show while visiting Mom... they mention..."the year of the horse".
I look to see the date, and it's the one I have in a circle, of course.

Journaling...

If you want something, take action today.
Every small step leads to change.

Anything that makes you anxious is a growth
opportunity. Embrace the challenge eager
to gain the blessings hidden in the difficulties.

Start in the present moment-
accepting things exactly as they are.

Give yourself.

You see many things that miss the mark,
and it's uncomfortable.
Don't run away.

Be clear in your mind of exactly what you
want to happen. Leave the how to God,
even if it's unrealistic.

"Be faithful in your affirmation that God
has not deserted you, but calls you in the middle of all
the unexplained absurdities of life.
Be deeply aware of this."

January 20, 2026

Sleeping through the night.
Sitting in stillness and light.
Silence.
Prayers & letting go.
Rejoicing...
& then, flow.

Another chip falls away,
allowing the light to show the way.
Revealing that...
sometimes, love is learning how to stay.

Journaling...

Don't try to figure out what's happening....

All we leave behind is our love.

Cut out things that hold me back, take up too much time,
or no longer inspire me, and make more room for love.

Simply trust.

'Resentments are the blocks that hold us back from loving
ourself and others.'

"To pray is to listen to the voice of love.
It speaks in the moment."

"If we could just be, for a few minutes each day,
fully where we are, we would indeed discover
that we are not alone, and that
the One that is with us wants only one thing:
to give us Love."

...and although I've come undone,
I now see how far I've come.

December 7, 2025

Sitting in the pasture giving Blondie some cuddles, then here comes baby.
Mama-angus-cow #5 moseys on over next...
then soon, mama-red-white-faced-cow #55
joins our huddle.
Their interest piqued by me sitting in the grass...
my interest piqued by their floppy ear tags flashing fives.

Of course,
I looked it up as soon as hubby and I got back
to the pickup.

Number 5...
'means big changes and perhaps a period
of self-discovery and renewed personal freedom is coming your way.
You need to be strong and accept these changes with positive energy
rather than fear because ultimately these lessons will set
you on a path that's meant to be.'

'encourages you to hold firm when it comes to self-belief,
freedom, and carving out your own journey in life.'

"Building trust from the inside out,
self-knowledge frees you from the prison
of self-absorption and the pain of constant self-questioning.
It lets you rest on solid ground."

...."Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe, no less that the trees
and the stars; you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you
conceive him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations in the noisy
confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham drudgery and broken dreams;
it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful. Strive to be happy."

It's My Life

Mindfulness. Worry. Faith. Control. Trust. Fear.
 Open. Protection. Determination. Defeat.
Willingness. Stubborn. Doubt. Belief. Teachable.
Discipline. Disorder. Struggle. Ease. Discomfort. Rise. Fall.
Pride. Humility.

Be clear on the issues your called to adopt & embrace.
Have your footing in a solid place.
It's easy to adopt others causes & be led astray.
It'll sweep you up and and take you away.
Don't get swept up in the momentum of someone else's real.
Walk you own path, and take the time to heal.
~me~

Journal:

Where you are is where you need to be.
Start where you are and accept that.

Even if I could see the whole future ahead of me,
I would not understand it anyway.
Many things are beyond my comprehension.
It's simply hard enough to understand myself.
I've wasted a lot of time trying to figure out someone else.
Looking back makes it a little easier to understand.
I didn't trust in who I was.
I had be repurposed.

Sovereignty has been my pop-up word lately.
I even wrote it several times to correct my spelling.
(*flashback to grade school)
'A supreme ruler.
Possessing supreme or ultimate power.'

So...why did I  struggle for so long putting
my faith in anything but God?
I know my answer.
It's complicated.
Truth is I learned how to survive.
Surviving is cool...
but, I want to thrive.

Do not obsess about what you could have done differently.
It can't be different from what has already occurred.

There is only one place to make a new beginning,
and that is NOW.

I refuse to worry about the future, and find
the resources for today quite sufficient.

He is my Source, sovereign over all resources,
and NOTHING is impossible with Him.

"Hold yourself accountable & you will open to the changes
God desires to make in your life for your good."

'There is a Spirit inside of you that is primal.
Let it flow-and reach for what fills your soul.
Listen to your intuition, it is the voice of your soul.
Release any feelings of guilt and judgement.
Allow your soul to speak it's truth.
Be open to your inner truth, and allow Spirit to be your guide.
Set your primal nature free!
It's your life!

"Remember that being healthy is much more

"I don't know who needs to hear this
but if you're trying to heal,
you have to develop better boundaries with
your intake information.

The news, doom-scrolling social media,
drama with your family or friends all will
dysregulate your nervous system,
raise inflammation and stress hormones.

Boundaries are medicine.
JOMO (joy of missing out)
is medicine."

November 17, 2024

I'm on an integrative pause.
 Keeping things simple and light.

Shasha's

A poem for today.

"Right it on your heart that every day is the best day
in the year.
He is rich who owns the day,
and no one owns the day who allows it to be invaded with
fret and anxiety.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
Begin it well and serenely,
with too high a spirit to be
cumbered with your old nonsense.
This new day is too dear with it's hopes and invitations,
to waste a moment on the yesterdays."

~Ralph Waldo Emmerson~

 Journal notes:

Get quiet and listen.

Sit still. Listen. Heal.

View choices through the lenses of health and balance.

Let others touch your mind and heart.

My focus creates my reality.

Breathe in gratitude.

Feed & support my own happiness.

Be easy and gentle with myself.

Practice mindfulness.

Each focused step brings me closer to my goals.

Spend time in nature.

Be in a state of grace.

This morning I am grateful for:

My first cup of coffee when it's still dark outside.

A simple string of yarn, and a cat.

A hug from my kiddo.

Grand-dog visits.

Hubby fixing bacon.

Charles Stanley sermons.

Faith

[Do]
Have faith, that all you want in life
is possible for you.
That even when things are tough,
you can handle it, and to go on through.

Have faith in your faith leading to good experiences,
and notice it too!
And remember that,
the experiences...
 you have to work on!
But faith ?
It works on you.
Experiences leave a mark, that much is true.
Bad ones feel lousy,
and can leave you feeling blue.
Have faith in those times,
it usually teaches you something new.
And then when things turn good
and it opens up your heart ?
That's where faith seeps in
and obtains a healthy start.

💖

faith:
1. complete trust or confidence in someone
or something.

2. strong belief in God or in doctrines of
a religion, based on spiritual apprehension
rather than proof.

Nap

 Traipsing around the pasture
drenched in warm sunshine,
I find a patch to relax,
that will work out just fine.
Finding peace and contentment,
with cows gathering 'round & the camera in my lap...

... followed by the sweetness of a calf
then hubby
drifting into a nap.

~ all is calm~

nap
1. to sleep for a short time; doze.
2. to be off ones guard.

Benefits:
recharge
zap stress
boost mood

Tidings

Oliver wanted to engage in the festivities too.
Drawing on the porch...we're a bit like,
Thing one...and Thing two.

I'm taking my holiday spirit duties
pretty seriously.
And hoping Santa brings chalk.
Ours seems to be disappearing mysteriously. :)

Grateful

Because the days have been busy,
and my kiddo turned 22 !!

And for his Birthday he
asked for a Didgeridoo.

AND because Oliver gave the wires on the AC a little chew.
I was afraid he'd have to pack his bags and move to the zoo.
The repairman said the wires are all OK.
So my heart is a little lighter today,
that my little buddy gets to stay !!!

good things...
having all the windows open and the breeze blowing through the house
the AC repairman finding something that needed repaired...so it was a good
thing he had to come now, before the sweltering heat.
ordering a gift from Australia...and having it delivered four days later
getting a snap chat of Brandon playing his Didgeridoo.
the mix of joy and pain that comes with love
faith
a problem that can be fixed with fence
seeing the morning glory seeds I planted from back home sprouting up
good news that lightens the heart
That God loves each and every one of us.

Happy Easter !!!
XOXO

Coffee

Sometimes I like to try something new...
like getting creative with my coffee
adding flavors and stuff to my brew.
Then I like to take it out on the front porch...
to sip and relax in my favorite spot.
But truth be known...[ let's be honest here] a non-favorite place  for my coffee...
there is not.

Because...really it's just one of those sacred breaks
that make it a special moment during my day.
It's all the  little things that take place
in the cherished ritual, and the role that my cup of coffee will play.

Webs

A misty foggy morning.
Revealing what we can not see.
Dew laden webs glistening with pearls...
sparkling, flowing and free.
Mindful of the unhurried artist.
Slowly spinning each thread.
Taking each step with her heart...
and not being all up in her head.

Reminding me of life and the special ways...
that God reveals Himself in ...
the darkest and foggiest of days.
Sometimes we struggle to be still and listen...
and sometimes we're drawn closer by gifts that glisten.

Sunday Poem

This morning was sunny ,
there was freshness in the air,
I carried out my book,
and sat on the stair.

Adam and Oliver gathered around.
I started to read,
and their place they found.

They were peaceful and calm
as I read about our Savior.

Then Adam interrupted with some attention seeking behavior. :)

Date Night

I step high into the dusty work truck,
with the help of my husbands loving hands.

Grandma's

Off we go to Grandma's to eat...
a taste of the past, that still stands.

Grandma's

It reminds me of the simpler times...
when people gathered together.

his torn shirt.

When every one greeted and smiled at each other
and talked about the weather.

When farming was a way of life...

and there was a passion to reflect.

When it wasn't about hurrying to get more done...

but treating the moment with respect.

Embracing some time to sing and dance...
and to appreciate each hour.

picking me flowers

Delighting in being with the ones you love.....
and stopping to pick them flowers.
.

Sometimes life gets crazy, uncomfortable and out of control.
That is when it's time for a simple date night..
and to be gentle to your soul.

XOXO
