Journal

This morning after writing in my journal,

 I sat on the floor

and opened an old suitcase.

My intent was to search for an old devotional.

Of course I got distracted.

It happens.

In the midst of old notes, devotionals and 

a sweet letter from my old pastor,

I unearthed last years journal.

Curiosity struck...so I opened up to last year at this time.

Scribbled on that day, were the words:

"You be You!"

Not anything earth shattering or even

out of the ordinary,

except,

this morning 

on the same date

a year later

I had written on today's page...

" You be You!"

~it's a process~

" There is just one life for 

each of us:

our own."
