Fascinated

Because.... I was fascinated by the geese

warding off a snapping turtle,

while we sat on a park bench

feeding them cheerios.

And, I love a day, that hanging out with my guy,

and satisfying my craving for frozen custard

are top priority on my"to do" list. :)

Recovery

Because...life in the slow lane

can be a little challenging.

bad pic...they were checking on him. sweet.

But throughout the weeks... there has been laughter,

long talks, exercise, and naps.

We have sat on the porch and read,

taken drives in the country and

watched movies.

Truth is...

minus hubby's discomfort....

I could really get used to this. :)

Gospel

Because... the Gospel is crazy awesome.

And so are quiet Saturday
mornings.

Flowers

“If I wasn't a human girl I think I'd like to be a bee and live among the flowers.”  

These are Dana's flowers. 

Her gardens are a labor of love.

And this week has been a scorcher.

She is away.

 I have flowers too...

like....3, if your comparing.

Not watering, isn't an option.

I love my flowers !!

And I love her's too...

....so mornings while hubby is in PT...

this has become my little oasis.

I love the time to play with my camera too.

It's been a great way to start my day...

and to keep the grouchies away.

And also....

this happened.

Paper

Because...

 I love watching hubby saunter down the driveway...

to pick up the paper in the morning.

But...until his leg is a bit stronger

[from knee replacement]....

this is pretty sweet too. :)

Harmonize

Because...when I take time to dream,

do something I'm passionate about,
embrace my weirdness,

love deeply,

and count my blessings....

joy shows up...

even when everything else seems to be off-kilter.

Hurdle

Because....hubby had a knee replacement...

and things went very well.

But we are living outside of our comfort zone

right now.

We're tired, relieved, overwhelmed,

but mostly...

we feel loved.

So thankful for a God that loves us...

and for incredibly lovely peeps !!

Also grateful for a wonderful surgeon

close to home, so we didn't have to travel far.

Busy

Because...
the Summer busyness has descended upon us.

It's been a good busy,

but I am not one of those people that thrive on busy.

homeowner :)

I admit....it's fun being busy with the things that make you happy...
{and I am tickled that I captured some firework shots *learning* ... :) }
but...
 right now...
I am ready to carve out a little time for some slow, simple and quiet.
