It's easy to remember those days that change the whole color of your world.

Our world used to shine a little brighter.

We miss our fun-loving Jack !

Last Night

I was there when my girlfriend took a HUGE first step to fulfilling her dream.*proud

on our way to breakfast this morning

 I returned home to these three. We stayed up late watching SNL, and taking selfies to find out what breed of dog (www.what-dog.net) we were . 

Laughed so hard my *cheeks hurt. 

It felt good just to be together having fun.

Bulbs

Life was busy.

I wanted to spend time with them when I was home (NY) in the Fall.

So I joined them on their errand day.

I snapped pictures of them grocery shopping.

She bought me bulbs.

She said when I look at them, I can think of her.

Direction

She wanted to know what direction I went on Hwy. 65.

" I don't know Mom ( I'm directionally challenged ) ...I went left."

She said, well....then you were going North or South.

" How do you know that ?"

She stated : Odd highways run North and South.

Even highways run East and West.

I LOVE THAT !

I love learning . Especially when it helps me find my way.

Farm Night

Mama was having difficulty.

A tail was showing. The calf was breach.

 It was dark. He had to work by the headlights on the truck.

The coyotes were howling.*creepy

He pulled the calf. 

He palpated.

He pulled another. Twins.

Sadly we lost the calves.

I hate it when blechy things happen.

Thankfully Mama is going to be fine.

I'm glad he asked me to go along.

Watching him do what he does, is truly amazing.

Beautiful days, carefree ways,

adventurous tries, and very sore thighs.

14 miles.

These are the days of our lives.

Ordinary

We went to the dentist,  

met sister friend for breakfast, 

 laughed a lot, and drank lots of coffee.

Watched a nice man step outside and feed a mockingbird.

Treasuring  just how beautiful the ordinary is,

on a perfectly normal day.

There is something about a walk around the lake 

at the end of the day.

I figured I could close my eyes, if I had too.

I did.

The cinematography was beautiful.

The determination and the strength of the human soul was real.

Leonardo was NOT cute...but he was amazing ! 

I left appreciating everything... even my lip balm. It was a good date.

Sale Barn

We spent the day at the sale barn watching the cows & donkeys,

taking in the endless activity...

and being lost in it all.

 

 

It was a nice little escape from the norm for us girls...

PLUS I got to watch hubby in action...*heart-flutter.

I went for a walk around the lake.

I sat in the woods.

I was just sad.

He eyed the last mint, and challenged me to an arm wrestling match for it.

I decided to it was time to grocery shop before things got ugly.

I know tomorrow morning I'll be glad I got it all cleaned today...

but right now I'm a little crabby, and hungry.

I'm happy he's bringing home take out.
