Dreams

It's weird how in the tiniest amount of time...

everything suddenly seems different. 

It felt like just yesterday 

I had a little boy who would love to sit

and draw me pictures.

Now he is moving forward...

 following his dreams.

Making it on his own.

He knows 

I'll always be here when he needs his laundry done me.

But when he doesn't...

I will grab a good book ...

 and my camera ...

and head out to follow some dreams 

of my own.

When life gets crazy...

and you imagine you might crack.

When your thoughts are in turmoil...

and your feeling off track...

Take a deep breath...

and focus on now.

Not on the why, what if's, and how.

Open your heart up to His amazing love.

Feel His peace as you rise above.

He'll comfort you and guide you...

 and keep you from lack.

He may even get playful...

and place a cat on your back.

Change

 Sometimes we have to make tough decisions.  

We have to trust. Even though the process is painful,

and we have to step out of our comfort zone... ( *sigh) 

 we can't ignore the fact that those moments come to move us forward.

 To nudge us in the direction we need to go.

Me and the kid young man, have experienced a lot of life in this home.  

The rooms have been filled with laughter,

and tears...

but most of all...*Love.

Now it may be time to let someone else love this place.

 If so...it will be like any of the changes I have made...

I just start.

I just take that first step of faith...

nerves , fears and all...

and the details all come together.

It just does.  Always.  XOXO

Life

Life is sometimes hard.

Reality sometimes sucks

But most of the time....?

Most of the time,

it's pretty amazing.

This right here is my man.

My best friend.

He makes my heart puffy.

You know that "high on life" feeling ?

That euphoria that fills every inch of you to the brim

when all feels right with the world ?!

That exhilaration you  experience when you
witness new life...

Yeah that.

My sweetie is a Veterinarian.

Observing him in his Levi's and boots as he attends to animals 

makes my heart

grow.

This guy has loved me & my heart right out of it's protected little box !!

Which has made me more aware of the love that surrounds us daily.

In our family, our friends, our co-workers, the waitress that serves us breakfast for dinner.
Sometimes it is hard to detect.

But it's usually there. 

What if we always chose to love each other even when we're not so lovable ?

Bursting

What makes me excited ? 

 My first cup of coffee outside on a fresh Spring morning , the sun warming my face, birds singing, blooms blooming.

AND my kiddo young man asleep in his room. *love*

Spring

 I can feel the change in the air.

                                                               It feels so much happier.

It is Spring !

There is a newness to life.

We applaud the beauty God spills into our daily lives.

We cherish each day, and live with open and loving hearts.

I simply can't wait to see what this Spring brings.

I have a feeling it is going to be incredible.

Lucky

This is Lucky.

Alias : Snorty McHowler.

He sits at the door and snorts, and snorts..... and when the momentum builds it turns into a howl.

He was really old....

....15 years ago.  

He likes the nasty new cottage cheese I bought.

I gave him mine. 

I figured , at this stage...Lucky can withstand about anything.  XOXO

Good Things

The sun, the birds, the change of scenery, the bike ride... 

the iced lattes, 

the mini horses, the laughs, connecting with a friend – it was all good. Wonderful even.

There is nothing I could say about today to make it any better.

Today was like oxygen. XOXO

Perspective

Are you ever out enjoying a spectacular day... the sun in shining, your spending the day with your loved one, and Spring is so close you can almost touch it ?  Life feels fabulous !!

Then...in a blink of an eye... something happens, and discouragement sneaks in and tries to snuff out your joy ?

Yeah..., for instance when you think you have taken tons of super great pictures , and you anxiously go to view them, only to discover that they suck  were taken on the wrong setting.

That was the precise moment that discouragement came in to steal my joy.

Did you ever notice that if you turn your focus on to what is good and praiseworthy... (*thank you Jesus :) ) ... that discouragement lets go of it's grip ? 

It's always worth a try. Because life is too special ! And I like ending a day with the happy things! XOXO

Happy Tail

Scotty loves to get the newspaper in the morning.  He is smart and a little weird.  Weird is entertaining.  He is full of love.

We love him very much...and happy that he's OUR weirdo. XOXO

Creativity Takes Courage

...and so it is today,  I am ignoring the nervous butterflies. I am not going to worry about what people think, or being judged, or how it all turns out. I will take a deep breathe and make that first step.   I have talked about starting a blog for a long time.  It feels good to actually do this... it beats just talking about it !
