On the cusp, between old and new,
making my *wish for the New Year.

A perfect ending and beginning.
Happy New Year !!!

Sitting around the table talking & putting a puzzle together.
He said it was his favorite part of Christmas.

A new tradition was born.
And to think I almost missed it, to get ready for something else.

60 in December, Oliver looking remarkably grinch-like,
belly laughs, fresh hay, sitting in the grass watching the sun go down,
hubby's face when the Santa hat gets near. :)
A different kind of Christmas song.
The gift of each other.
The gift of time.

All made possible....
by the gift of Jesus.
I can't imagine life with out Him.

Merry Christmas!

I put Christmas lights around my neck, and the electricity went off.

She opened all her gifts, and then at the end....a little tube of cream
triggered her happy tears.
I love that is was sweet.
I love those little moments that we share.

Oliver wanted to engage in the festivities too.
Drawing on the porch...we're a bit like,
Thing one...and Thing two.

I'm taking my holiday spirit duties
pretty seriously.
And hoping Santa brings chalk.
Ours seems to be disappearing mysteriously. :)

He agreed to help Oliver up on the bales. She decided some fresh air would be nice.
On our way to the farm, we laughed at the thought "what if" we were to be pulled over.
A goat, a dog, an old sled, a chair and my 77 year old sister-in-law with her cane.
She said she she'd tell them she heard an ice-storm was coming.
Then we giggled some more.

A plain old really good day and something special at the same time.

Hope you had some special moments in your day too !!

I always feel a little blue this time of year.
How I wish I could wrap all of my loved ones up...and put them
under my tree ! [I know. That would be weird. But  you get the idea.]
Yep ! I'd love it !
I was trying to get my Christmas cards made out.
I came to my Aunt Sandy's address.
[tissue please]
It's strange how one little thing can change the whole
direction of your day, isn't it ?
I suddenly came down with a good case of the mopeys.
So of course I did the only rational thing to do.....

spots Dr. Daddy

I took the boys out to the country for a walk.
So, long story short.
I didn't get my Christmas cards done.

Hope you have a great week.
Be well.

Reminders's all about the heart...
not the hustle.

Jumping on the trampoline with our grandchildren.
Cycling at night around the harbor with my girlfriends.
Christmas lights, Mom, hot-chocolate with marshmallows,
being silly, visiting with the neighbor,
learning to drive the tractor {*scratching it off my bucket-list}
playing with the fur-kids,
standing outside under the Supermoon.
I am grateful for these moments.
I am grateful for the reminders to slow down.
This is the good stuff.

I hope you take the time to slow down, enjoy your family,
your friends, and make time for you.
Don't get caught up in the hustle.
Enjoy the good things.

Happy Friday !!
I know today is black friday,
but you won't find me in any store.
Get up at 4am ?
Fight the crowds ?
No chance.

However... a day on the farm,
watching hubby and his nephew doctoring calves...
I'm in !!
That is something I can totally spend a day on. :)

Have a great weekend !!
